CoE as Knowledge Centres

The Government of Uttar Pradesh envisages the creation of world class infrastructure in the form of Centre of Excellence (CoE). CoE shall possess maturity and experience in incubation, exemplary standards of R&D and promote best practices for nurturing entrepreneurship.
The establishment of 20 new Centres of Excellence (CoEs) over five years is proposed, and the proposals shall be evaluated and approved by the Empowered Committee (EC).
The intent is to create a world class Centre of Excellence which will house 50 most promising product based Startups from India and abroad in the domain of Emerging Technologies Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Blockchain, Additive Manufacturing and other deep tech areas as well as sectors like, Space-Tech, Defence-Tech, Agri-tech, Edu-Tech, Health-Tech and other areas of social or national importance.
The CoE will provide complete support to the 50 selected startups in terms of infrastructure (incubation Centre, co working space, product testing labs, advanced computers etc.) and mentorship by onboarding key experts in the field of emerging technologies and management.
Host Institutes like Government and Private Technical colleges, Management institutes, R&D Institutes / Non-Profit Organization/ Corporates / Industry Associations shall be eligible to establish CoE. The proposals may be submitted independently by eligible entities, or may be invited through a formal Expression of Interest (EoI).
